FoodAI Group participates in the Singapore Food Toxicology Conference and Workshop 2025

The FoodAI group actively participated in the Singapore Food Toxicology Conference and Workshop 2025, organized by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and the Singapore Food Toxicology Network (SFTN) on October 8-9, 2025. The event brought together experts from academia, government, and industry to discuss the latest advances in food toxicology, risk assessment, and emerging technologies for food safety.

As part of the FoodAI team’s contribution, Ryan Yow and Zhi En Low served as volunteers for the conference, supporting the smooth execution of the conference and engaging with delegates and speakers throughout the sessions.

Dachuan Zhang, as a committee member of SFTN, chaired the session on Computational Toxicology and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). The session highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence and data-driven methods in predictive toxicology and the development of next-generation food safety assessment tools.

Established in August 2024, the Singapore Food Toxicology Network (SFTN) represents a collaborative initiative among the National University of Singapore (NUS), Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), Singapore Food Agency (SFA), Future Food Alliance (FFA), and Singapore Institute of Food Science and Technology (SIFST). SFTN serves as a community of practice to advance food toxicology research, foster collaboration, and attract new talent to strengthen Singapore’s food safety and innovation ecosystem.

The FoodAI group’s participation in this year’s conference underscores its commitment to advancing computational and AI-driven approaches for ensuring food safety and supporting Singapore’s leadership in food innovation.
