Dachuan Zhang co-Chaired the 92nd LCA Discussion Forum on AI in LCA

Dachuan Zhang served as co-chair of the 92nd LCA Discussion Forum (DF) titled “AI in LCA: Innovations, Applications, and Challenges”, held on 26 February 2026 at the Empa Akademie in Dübendorf, Switzerland. The forum was jointly organized by ETH Zurich, NUS Singapore, and Ecoinnovazione.

The forum brought together leading experts from academia, industry, and international organizations to explore how artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and large language models (LLMs) are reshaping Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).  As co-chair, Dachuan Zhang moderated key thematic sessions, including “LCI Data Modeling” and “Beyond LCI and LCIA”, facilitating in-depth discussions on AI-assisted database development, data quality control, predictive modeling, and AI-powered sustainability tools.

This engagement highlights the FoodAI Group’s active role in advancing AI-driven methodologies beyond food systems and into broader sustainability and environmental assessment domains.
