FoodAI at IUFoST World Food Congress 2026: AI for Food Systems

We are excited to join the IUFoST World Food Congress 2026, taking place from 25–29 October 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong.

Dr. Dachuan Zhang will speak in the “AI for Food Systems” session, alongside experts from the University of Maryland, University of Maine, University of California, Davis, and the Technical University of Denmark.

His presentation will discuss how domain knowledge, rigorous evaluation, and robust data standards are essential for advancing AI in food science, with a particular focus on building AI systems that are scientifically reliable and useful for real-world food research.

The session brings together perspectives spanning AI-enabled microbial detection, nutrition and clinical decision support, intelligent food processing and packaging, and smart food manufacturing, highlighting the rapidly expanding role of AI across the food system.

We look forward to meeting colleagues and friends from around the world in Hong Kong and exchanging ideas on the future of AI and food science at IUFoST 2026!
