FoodAI Group at NUS AI Research Day! 

Our PhD student Jingzhi Zhang from Dr Dachuan Zhang's lab showcased our latest research on developing AI models to design and generate novel food aromas.

The team developed an AI model that learns from the molecular organization of food aromas to generate new formulations with targeted sensory profiles. As a proof of concept, the model successfully reconstructed meat-like aromas using exclusively plant-derived odorants, demonstrating the potential of AI-driven flavor design for sustainable food innovation.
