Our Master's student wins First Prize at the 5th Food Formulation Innovation SHOW

The winning project, Foodmole-Aroma, represents a breakthrough in the application of artificial intelligence to food science. By combining machine learning with sensory chemistry, the system enables precise, efficient, and creative design of aroma profiles tailored to specific product goals. It presents the frist step to addresse the longstanding challenge in the food industry: how to intelligently formulate and optimize aroma systems that deliver both sensory appeal and technical feasibility.

Foodmole-Aroma stands out for its ability to:

  • Predict the sensory outcomes of complex aroma compound combinations,

  • Optimize formulations based on both consumer preferences and manufacturing constraints,

  • Accelerate the innovation cycle in flavor and product development.

This innovative system offers significant potential for food companies seeking to develop more appealing, sustainable, and differentiated products in an increasingly competitive global market.
